The Woodlands ChamberFest
Founded by Marie in 2012, The Woodlands ChamberFest is a summer music camp dedicated to teaching communication, collaboration and leadership through chamber music. We introduce middle- to high-school age students to the experience of rehearsals and performances in a small ensemble while enhancing their individual technique and musicality through coachings and private lessons.
Violamad's Summer "Boot Camp" 2020
Amidst the many cancellations of the COVID Pandemic, Marie initiated a summer "Boot Camp" for violists. Over the course of six weeks, participants met once a week online for a one-hour group lesson, tackling the most basic (but also most challenging!) aspects of viola playing/technique: Scales, Arpeggios, Double stops, Left & Right Hand Technique, Articulation, Vibrato & Shifting. A sample assignment is now available for download.
Private Instruction
I welcome all ages and levels of violin or viola students in the Bremen area, as well as offer video-call lessons around world. Music is perfect medium for you to learn how to express yourself. Anyone can learn and enjoy playing and I believe private lessons are fundamental step in this process.

Viola Tips with Violamad
Since 2007, Marie has been sharing performance videos via YouTube. In 2012 she began making "Viola Tips" videos, to share her viola technique tips and tricks for her over 5,000 worldwide subscribers.
